Happy Car Sambenedettese had a satisfying landing in their second Euro Winners Cup. The defending Italian champion edged Kazakh Ushkyn-Iskra to eventually get hold of the lead in Group D. The Rossoblu found it hard to bend the Kazakh resistance, and it was not until the beginning of second leg that André, one of the most prolific scorers of all times, swept his team ahead with a perfectly-aimed shot. Things got nothing easier for the Transalpine after that, and Kvyatkovskiy equalized five minutes afterwards. Only a perfect third frame could get things done for the Serie A champions, who used two goals by Spaniard Pablo and a third one by Bruno Novo to secure the points at stake.
